FDR & Hoover, Inauguration 1933

By inauguration day 1933, FDR and President Hoover's once amicable relationship had grown bitter -- so much so that Hoover didn't speak a word to the President-elect in the limo ride from the White House to the Capitol Building. This 1933 New Yorker Magazine cover could not have better illustrated the tension of their contrasting personalities:
